At JazzBaltica 2021, Swedish trombonist Ebba Åsman leads her quartet through a vivid meeting of Nordic lyricism, modern jazz and restless groove. Pianist Anna Gréta Sigurðardóttir, bassist Petter Olofsson and drummer Robert Ikiz shape a spacious yet driving backdrop, allowing Åsman's warm, expressive trombone to move from quiet reflection to bold improvisation. The performance feels intimate, adventurous and assured, revealing a young band with a distinct contemporary voice with real chemistry.
